Medical laboratory department<\/span><\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The Laboratory Centre at The Elhadba Alkadra Public Hospital is one of its kinds in the entire Libya. It is fully equipped with the latest technologies to perform the most advanced and complicated tests and screenings. It consists of the following departments and units:<\/p>\n

Clinical Biochemistry (Clinical Chemistry) Department :<\/span><\/h2>\n

This automated laboratory performs a wide range of biochemical tests and screening of profiles. Among the services provided are specialized testing for a wide range of specimen and lipids that are diagnostic for various metabolic diseases. The department uses:<\/p>\n

        Autoimmune diseases diagnostic tests as: Systemic Lupus Erythymatosus (ANA profile, Anti-ds DNA, Anti nucleosome, Antiribosomal Abs, Drug-induced Lupus ANA, Anti-Histone, Anti-ss DNA, Rheumatoid arthritis AntiCCP, Antiphospholipid syndrome IgG anticardiolipin, Lupus Anticoagulant, AntiB2 glycoprotein, IgM anti-Cardiolipin, Sjogren\u2019s syndrome ANA, Anti-SSA\/SSB, Rheumatoid factors.<\/p>\n

          Hematology and Hemostasis Department :<\/span><\/h2>\n

          It offers a wide range of tests including complete blood counts, differentials, ESR and morphological examination of peripheral blood for diagnosis of anemia and other benign as well as malignant hematological disorders. The department uses the CELL DYN SAPPHIRE (ABBOTT) and SYSMEX hematology analyzers.<\/p>\n

          Blood Bank and Transfusion Service Unit :<\/span><\/h2>\n

          This unit offers all the clotting factor assays including an extensive menu of tests for hemostasis and thrombosis, bleeding profiles and screening tests, Factor analysis, coagulation markers and thrombotic risks.<\/p>\n

          Microbiology Department :<\/span><\/h2>\n

          Our microbiology department is well equipped to provide fundamental diagnostic testing in Bacteriology, Virology, Mycobacteriology, Mycology and Parasitology in addition to Molecular Biology.
