Our Neonatal intensive care unit is fully equipped with latest Puriton Bennet ventilators, Monitors, Open care systems, Biliblankets etc to care and support sick and pre-term babies. The Pediatric intensive care unit is also equipped with most modern facilities to provide up to date care. We have neonatal and pediatric transport team to transport a newborn or seriously ill child to NICU or PICU. The In-patient facility has provision for play area to make children feel at home. It is child friendly and family centered. In our 24-hour Emergency section, the services of Pediatrician are available. Backed by services of super specialists like Neurologists, Surgeons, Cardiologists, and Gastroenterologist. The center is freshly decorated to provide the best ambience for your child. The Neonatal Unit is covered with 2 Specialists who attend to deliveries day and night assisted by 3 GP Doctors. The nursery is equipped and is run by well-trained staff nurses in neonatology. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is equipped with 12 incubators.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) :

Three different levels of care are available in our NICU

• INTENSIVE CARE: For the most seriously ill babies.
• HIGH DEPENDANCY CARE: For babies who are not critically ill but still need complex care.
• SPECIAL CARE: For babies who are catching up on growth and development after a premature birth, or those who are getting better after more complex treatment.

NICU in Elhadba Alkhadra Public Hospital comprises of 12 latest incubators for premature and sick babies and two transport incubators in case any patient needs to be transferred from or to Hospital from any other hospital. NICU is equipped with six ventilators for sick babies needing ventilatory support. In addition to ventilators and incubators, the NICU has all the needed accessories like NEOPUFF (Cosy-Cot) resuscitares, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, apnoea alarms, suction machines, phototherapy units, blood gas machines, bili-check apparatus, hearing screening equipment and laboratory facilities.
